My old piece on the Devonport wharf stretched (cotton is not great for outdoor use...) and looked a bit manky. A few days ago it was gone. But it’s such a good spot, with thousands of people passing by every day, so I couldn’t keep my fingers off!
If you want to make flowers like the ones I planted around Devonport make them like this: Cast on 40 stitches, stitch one, cast off 7, stitch one etc until finished. Cut off the thread, pull through all the stitches on the needle, pull tight and you’ve got a flower! Make one more (65 stitches, cast of 12 at a time), sew them together and you’ve got a double flower.
